How do I place and order or get info?
Fill out the questioner on the contacts page and submit it. You can also text or call after submitting so we can go over details.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, a non refundable Deposit guarantees your date is saved and order has been placed.
*deposit amount is determined on size of your order Ex: can range from $20-$500
How much Notice do you need?
Typically 3-4 weeks notice is good. We do book up as far as two (2) months in advance several months out of the year. Its always best to inquire as soon as you decided to have an event and not hesitate.
Do you take short notice orders?
Usually we are not able to take on orders with only one (1) week or less notice. However it never hurts to ask! we sometimes have cancellations or might be able to fit ya in.
Do you offer cake tastings?
Yes we do!
-Tastings are usually done when booking large orders ex: weddings, quinces, celebrations with a large cake.
While at the tasting you will get to try 5-7 different flavors that we offer. There is a fee of $20 for the tasting*. However this fee is waived if you book your event with a deposit the same day.
Do you Deliver and is there an extra fee?
Yes we do deliver.
-Delivery is an option for any order over $150, the delivery fee will be based on how far the location is and everything needing to be delivered. We do deliver and set up all Wedding and Quince Cakes, deliver starts at $75 for those. We also will deliver to surrounding areas around Bakersfield. ex: Tehachapi, Santa Clarita etc.
What type of payments do you accept?
Cash or Check drop off, PayPal, Venmo, Debit and Credit are all accepted
*We do not accept food stamps. (yes I have been asked this on occasion)
Are Deposits refunded?
Deposits and all money paid in is non-refundable.
We understand things happen out of our control and offer a one (1) time date change to any future date that we have available. There is NO added fee for this. We will do our very best to work with you on the new date. As long as we are not on vacation or fully booked already. If the event has just be cancelled and will not be rebooked, then the deposit and payments are non-refundable we do not move or apply payments to a new/different order
Do you make sugar free, gluten free or eggless cakes?
Currently we do not offer these options. We are looking into getting a few sugar free options as well as a few "gluten friendly"** options.
**Allergy Notice: When we are able to offer these options, we will do our BEST to be careful, Tina's Cakes is a facility that prepares foods that may contain these ingredients: milk, eggs, wheat/gluten, soybean, peanuts and tree-nuts. Even though we clean and sanitize everything we CAN NOT guarantee cross contamination from happening. Any gluten free items will be called gluten friendly since we are not a 100% gluten free facility.
Does the cake need to be refrigerated?
This needs a little explaining ...
- if the cake is picked up or delivered several hours (2+ hrs) before the party time we suggest you keep it in the fridge
- if the party is outside and its 80 degrees or higher, we advise you keep it chilled till time of the party. Once the party starts bring it out to the cake table to soften up and it will be ready to enjoy when its time to sing happy birthday!
- Cakes are very heat and weather sensitive. Tina's Cakes in not responsible for any damage done to the cake from the heat, rain and wind, we can not control this. Example: melting, bulging, colors bleeding, colors fading or changing, icing sliding off are just some things that may happen when exposed to extreme heat and weather.
